Taxes – They are done and e-filed. That’s one less thing I have to worry about.

Worrying – I tend to give myself an ulcer being anxious about things that always seem to work out just fine.

Teenagers – Went to see a film last night titled The Messengers. I should have known the theater would be full of rude, obnoxious teens since it was a scary movie, but they still caused my blood to boil. They talked, text-messaged, and carried on cell phone conversations throughout the entire thing with no regard for the other patrons. I wanted to stand up and scream “Shut the h*ll up!”, but was afraid one of them would stab me in the parking lot afterwards.

  1. I heard an interesting theory about the worrying thing from someone that also does it. She said that if she worries about something it won’t happen, so she worries about everything a little bit to keep everyone safe.

  2. Hi,

My Grandma said when you worry, you pay your dues twice. You worry about thing’s that never happen, and then if they do, you’ve got to worry about them all over again.

I try to follow her advice.

I rarely have to deal with unruly teenagers anymore, but a few years ago, I spoke to a few young boys harshly in the movies, called them spoiled little bastards and told them I was telling their mother. It worked. But I agree with you, the consequences might have been ugly.
