Indian Pink (Spigelia marilandica)

I posted a picture a while ago of the “Indian Pink” (Spigelia marilandica) in my yard, but the buds hadn’t opened yet. They are currently blooming, so I took some new shots yesterday. I love the contrast between the crimson buds and the chartreuse star-shaped blossom.

  1. I was growing some kind of very pretty flower in my window sill, in a vase with water and rocks. On Friday it disappeared…I can only assume that one of my cats has either hidden the bulb or eaten it, entirely.

  2. OoOo beautiful flowers. Maybe someday I’ll grow up enough and get a house. Then I could grow flowers likes those. Oh, and of course snapdragons =D.
