Radio remix version of Gotye ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’

I thought this might help someone. I heard Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” on the radio last week for the first time. I immediately tried to buy it on Google Music and Amazon, but both sites only had the album version available. After spending two days searching YouTube and various other sites, I finally found the radio edit on SoundCloud. It is actually a remix by DJ Mike D, and has a more upbeat, 80’s feeling to it.

(SoundCloud file has been removed)

Here’s the video version that is slightly different:

  1. OMG I have been looking for this version for weeks now!!!! I have the original, but this one is by far the best I’ve heard!! I’ve called radio stations, they didn’t know what version it was.. searched iTunes and google and haven’t heard the version I’ve been looking for, but THIS IS IT!!! Thank you soooooo much :) I’m the happiest chik in the world right now!!!!!!

  4. Thanks for posting this! Now…. how could I download this version to be able to listen on my iPod? I’m certainly willing to pay for it but can’t seem to find it available anywhere?

    1. Thanks, Sara! There are sites available that allow you to rip audio files from either YouTube or Soundcloud. It sucks that this version doesn’t seem to be available for purchase. I don’t understand it.

  5. Am I the only person that finds the over-loud drum track annoying? Not saying that it’s ‘bad’, and with music, more than anything, it comes down to personal preference, but when I hear this remix, I can’t focus on anything other than the drum track.

  6. Thank you soooo much! Thought I was going crazy or something cuz I was SURE the album version did NOT sound like the radio version, yet I couldn’t find the radio version anywhere! Thank u, thank u, thank u! :o)
