Thank you for hearing me

Last night, I suddenly realized that I have been writing here for a year. It’s nice to be able to glance back and read some of the experiences and thoughts that I’ve had over the last twelve months.

The funny thing is, it seems to almost slow down the onward march of time. A year normally flies by, especially the older that we get. Taking the time to write about the things that are happening in my life seems to help me cling onto those fleeting moments and memories a bit more. I can read about something that happened six months ago and it feels like six months ago.

I feel like my life has changed quite a bit during the time that I’ve been doing this. I know myself a little better, I’ve gotten better at expressing myself, and I’ve become more spiritually aware. I’m surprised at the amount of personal information that I’ve shared, at times making myself, and perhaps my readers, a little uncomfortable.

I’m very thankful for the regular visitors that give me positive feedback, constructive criticism, or an alternative way of looking at a particular issue. It’s rewarding that you’re willing to listen, even as I continue to find my own voice.

  1. You’re welcome!

I love blogging even when I have very little to say, which is 95% of the time! It keeps me writing (and I always say writing is like running and you just have to keep in shape if it’s “in you” like it is me) but I think it helps me focus on my world a little more because I am always thinking “Hm. I could blog about this.” Here’s to another year!
